The leadership of St. Peter’s takes seriously the threat of the spread of COVID-19.

To ensure that we can gather in-person at the church, we ask you to please observe the following guidelines when you come to worship at St. Peter’s on Sunday mornings:

Masks: We are requiring everyone to wear a mask or face covering when inside the building to help protect the health of others who may be at risk.  This is part of our call to “Do no harm.”  We also ask everyone to practice safe physical distancing.

Entering and Exiting the Building: All persons should enter and exit the building through the double doors at the main entrance to the church, or the double doors by the choir room.  All other entrances will be locked, but will be accessible to exit the building in case of emergency. (If you enter the building by the choir room, please proceed down the hallway to the Narthex.  (There will be signs to direct you).

Screening: As you enter the church, a greeter will ask you some health screening questions:

Screening Questions for Those Wearing a Mask:

  1. Do you feel sick today?
  2. Have you had a fever in the past week?
  3. To your knowledge, have you been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 in last three weeks?

If the answer to any of these questions is “yes,” you will be asked to return home and invited to worship with us online.

Screening Questions for Those Not Wearing a Mask:

  1. Is your absence of a mask for medical reasons?  If so, then please answer the following:
  2. Do you have any of the following symptoms:
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Flu-like muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  3. In the past three weeks have you been exposed to anyone with COVID-19?
  4. In the past three weeks have you or anyone you live with visited someone inside a hospital, nursing home, long-term care, or extended stay facility?
  5. Have you or anyone living in your home tested positive for COVID-19?

If the answer to ANY of questions 2-5 “yes,” you will be asked to return home and invited to worship with us online.
If the answer to ALL of questions 2-5 is “no,” you will be asked to wear a face shield which can be provided by the church.

Hand Sanitizer: All persons are asked to use hand sanitizer before entering the Sanctuary.  A bottle will be available near the entrance to the Sanctuary.

Seating: Following screening, people may sit on open rows, with two empty seats between individuals or families.  We ask that there be no gathering of folks in the Narthex prior to or after worship.

Congregational Singing: For the near future, we will not have congregational singing inside the Sanctuary.

Sunday School and Nursery: For the near future, Sunday School will not meet inside the building on Sunday mornings, and we will not be providing a nursery.

Water Fountains will be disabled for health and sanitation purposes.  Since the water fountains are disabled, you are encouraged to bring bottled water.  Normal restrictions on the Sanctuary will be lifted during this time so you may have water with you during worship.

In Case of Emergency: If, during worship, you should feel sick or faint, please see one of the ushers.  He or she will assist you.  An emergency plan is in place to isolate and assist those in need.

We recognize that these guidelines may cause some inconvenience for some of you, but our goal is to ensure the safest environment for everyone while still enabling our church family to gather for worship!

Please note: We are still offering Online Worship for those who are not yet ready, or unable, to attend public worship.
