Advent and Christmas Services and Events

Following is a list of special events and services at St. Peter’s during Advent and Christmas:

Thursday, December 8: United Methodist Men Steak Dinner
Join us at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for an evening of good food and fellowship!
Please sign up in the Narthex or call the church office to make reservations.

Saturday, December 10: Morehead City Christmas Parade
Come downtown and see our float in the Christmas Parade! If you’d like to participate in the parade, there’s a signup sheet in the Narthex, or you can call the church office.
The parade starts at 11:00 a.m.

Sunday December 11: Children’s Christmas Program
This year’s program is entitled “The Noisy Stable.” Come hear the message of Christmas through the littlest ones in our church! Program begins at 6:00 p.m., and will be followed by a time of light refreshments and fellowship!

Monday, December 12: Women of the Church Christmas Dinner
Join the Women of the Church at 6:30 p.m. at Sagebrush Steakhouse for an evening of good food and fellowship, and a birthday celebration for Jesus!

Sunday, December 18: Christmas Cantata
Join us for Sunday morning worship at 10:30 for our choir’s presentation of “Mary Did You Know,” a cantata arranged and orchestrated by Russell Mauldin.
There will be only
one service of worship this day. Sunday school will be at 9:30, with worship at 10:30.

Sunday, December 18: Caroling and Chili
We will meet at the church at 4:00 p.m. to go out and share the spirit of the season through traditional Christmas carols, then return to the church for warm fellowship over delicious homemade chili!

Saturday, December 24: Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion Service
Join us at 7:00 p.m. as we celebrate the birth of Jesus through Scripture, song and candlelight. You will not want to miss this moving service.

Sunday, 25: Christmas Day Worship Service
Join us at 10:30 a.m. for a special Sunday morning service of carols and singing. Sunday School will begin at 9:30 that morning.

Saturday, December 31: New Year’s Eve and Covenant Service
We will gather in the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. to enter the new year in covenant with out Lord and with one another.
