Sermon Series: Building a Kingdom

Join us on Sunday mornings during this Easter Season as Pastor Karl offers a sermon series on Building a Kingdom.  This series focuses primarily on passages from the book of Acts, and looks at how the early followers of Christ laid the groundwork and built the foundation for what became the Church.  We, as followers today, are called to continue building upon the work and traditions of generations who have come before us.  Join us as we journey together from Easter Sunday to Pentecost, and learn how you can help build God’s Kingdom in the world!

Sunday worship services are at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.*

Easter Sunday Post

Easter Sunday at St. Peter’s

Easter Sunday is the most important day of the year for Christians, because on that day we celebrate the event of Christ’s resurrection.  Join us at St. Peter’s as we gather together to sing His praises and declare the Good News that Christ is risen!

Our Easter celebration will begin with a community sunrise service at the water’s edge in Mitchell Village Park in Morehead City at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast in the yard of the church parsonage, right up the hill from the park.  Then come and join us at St. Peter’s for worship which will include great fellowship, uplifting music, the proclamation of the Word, and a gathering at the Lord’s Table to share communion.   Worship services are at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.  We also have Sunday School at 9:45.

Come join the family of St. Peter’s as we celebrate Easter!

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

On December 24, St. Peter’s will hold a special Christmas Eve worship service. Join us as we raise our voices in song on this most joyous evening to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Come and hear the ancient Gospels bring to life the story of that night so long ago when God’s love came down in the person of a tiny baby born; marvel at how a meager cattle stall became the birthplace of salvation; experience God’s gift of forgiveness as we gather around the Lord’s Table; and celebrate with us as we share the Light of Christ with one another and welcome the True Light into the world.
