It’s time to make plans for VBS! St. Peter’s UMC will hold our annual Vacation Bible School June 26-30, for children age 2 through those who have just finished sixth grade. The theme for this year’s adventure is “Operation Arctic.” During this fun-filled week, children will gather for an exciting adventure as they learn about the coolest book on the planet!

Join us on Sunday mornings during this Easter Season as Pastor Karl offers a sermon series on Building a Kingdom. This series focuses primarily on passages from the book of Acts, and looks at how the early followers of Christ laid the groundwork and built the foundation for what became the Church. We, as followers today, are called to continue building upon the work and traditions of generations who have come before us. Join us as we journey together from Easter Sunday to Pentecost, and learn how you can help build God’s Kingdom in the world!

Easter Sunday is the most important day of the year for Christians, because on that day we celebrate the event of Christ’s resurrection. Join us at St. Peter’s as we gather together to sing His praises and declare the Good News that Christ is risen!
Our Easter celebration will begin with a community sunrise service at the water’s edge in Mitchell Village Park in Morehead City at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast in the yard of the church parsonage, right up the hill from the park. Then come and join us at St. Peter’s for worship which will include great fellowship, uplifting music, the proclamation of the Word, and a gathering at the Lord’s Table to share communion. Worship services are at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. We also have Sunday School at 9:45.

and His gift of Holy Communion.

We glimpse the burial and death of Jesus with a processional
as we carry a wooden cross from the church to Mitchell Village Park.

We celebrate the risen Christ with a service of praise and proclamation at water’s edge.
Following the service, a light breakfast will be offered in the parsonage yard.
(In case of rain, both the Sunrise Service and the breakfast will be moved to the church.)
