I John 1:1-10

Just before our adult Sunday school class was to begin, one member brought up the issue of abortion. He began to quote stats and facts about this topic and became more involved in his appeal for all Christians to get involved and have this law changed so abortion would be illegal.

As his speech became louder and more condemning, our teacher spoke with a calm voice and Godly wisdom. He said, “As Christians our job or focus should not as much be on the changing of the law, but instead it should be on the changing of people’s hearts so there would not be a need for a law.”

What a wise statement that can be applied to more issues than abortion.  When our focus involves moral or legal issues, as Christians, we should do as Christ would do.  WWJD could be changed to WWJHMD: What Would Jesus Have Me Do?
