Service of Remembrance
On Sunday night, September 7, St. Peter’s held a special service where more than a hundred gathered to remember the victims of 9/11, honor our veterans, and celebrate our freedom to gather and worship God. The youth presented a beautiful rendition of “America the Beautiful”, Jeff Bolduc shared a moving testimonial about his time serving in Iraq, and the church presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Hank Gotard for his service to our nation and to the veterans of Cartertet County. Rev. Zorowski shared a passage from Jeremiah 15, and challenged us to remember that, as followers of Christ, we are the ones called to bring God’s Word to our nation. Following the service, we shared in a time of fellowship over homemade apple pie with ice cream. It was a wonderful night of remembering and celebrating all that God has done for us!
